Design of an S-band Ultra-low-noise Amplifier with Frequency Band Switching Capability
In this paper, an ultra-low-noise amplifier with frequency band switching capability is designed, simulated and fabricated. The two frequency ranges of this amplifier consist of the 2.4 to 2.5 GHz and 3.1 GHz to 3.15 GHz frequency bands. The designed amplifier has a noise figure of less than 1dB, a minimum gain of 23 dB and a VSWR of less than 2 in the whole frequency band. The design process s...
متن کاملSuperconducting Spintronics
The interaction between superconducting and spin-polarized orders has recently emerged as a major research field following a series of fundamental breakthroughs in charge transport in superconductor-ferromagnet heterodevices which promise new device functionality. Traditional studies which combine spintronics and superconductivity have mainly focused on the injection of spin-polarized quasipart...
متن کاملA Low-Voltage, Low-Power, Two-Stage Amplifier for Switched-Capacitor Applications in 90 nm CMOS Process
Abstract- A novel low-voltage two-stage operational amplifier employing resistive biasing is presented. This amplifier implements neutralization and correction common mode stability in second stage while employs capacitive dc level shifter and coupling between two stages. The structure reduces the power consumption and increases output voltage swing. The compensation is performed by simple mill...
متن کاملff ective spin concept to analyze coherent charge transport in mesoscopic systems
An effective spin concept is introduced to examine the mathematical and physical analogy between phase coherent charge transport in mesoscopic systems and quantum operations on spin based qubits. When coupled with the Bloch sphere concept, this isomorphism allows formulation of transport problems in a language more familiar to researchers in the field of spintronics and quantum computing. We ex...

A new non-linear method for design and analysis of solid state power amplifiers is presented and applied to an aluminum gallium nitride, gallium nitride (AlGaN-GaN) high electron-mobility transistor (HEMTs) on silicon-carbide (SiC) substrate for Ku band (12.4 13.6 GHz) applications. With combining output power of 8 transistors, maximum output power of 46.3 dBm (42.6 W), PAE of 43% and linear ga...
